One of the things that I wish had been at Star Wars Celebration were Vinylmations! I'm a huge collector of these figurines and some of my favorites are, of course, the Star Wars series! There have been some amazing Vinylmation releases at Star Wars Weekends which started last weekend including Series 5 (pictured above), the X-Wing Pilot Eachez (where you can either pull Biggs or Jek) and next weekend the Death Star 9" & Death Star Trooper 3" set will be released. Vinylmation World has a complete schedule along with more photos and prices here if you're interested. One of the things I specifically wanted to point out are the 2-packs that are being released on different weekends. They are limited edition and retail for $29.95 each. Let's take a look shall we?
The first set being released May 22nd is Luke and Han at the end of A New Hope. Aren't they fantastic? I flipped out over this set and found someone to pick it up for me! I love Han's smirk, Luke's iconic yellow jacket and their medals.
Although it has not been confirmed yet, this set featuring the GONK droid and Jawa is suspected to be released on June 4th. I think it's cute but it's not one I HAVE to have. I prefer the set that was released last year that came with a Jawa and R5-D4.
Also not yet confirmed, this set featuring Chopper and Zeb is suspected to be released on June 12th. I've shared with my mom and husband many times how awesome it would be if they made Vinylmations that weren't OT related. We are on Series 5 and they still have not made any from the PT or cartoons. But now with this special Rebels set I do have hope for future Star Wars Vinylmations! I'm still very shocked that this set is real!
