What I Wore

Rey Speeder Dress: c/o Her Universe
Faux Leather Jacket: H&M (Similar)
Sequin Scarf (used as belt): Kohl's
Tights: Kohl's
Franco Sarto Heels: Nordstrom Rack
Velvet Choker: Hot Topic
Jason Wu Clutch: Gifted
Keychain: Smuggler's Bounty (The Last Jedi Box)

I've always liked the idea of Rey playing with the Dark Side a bit so that is where the inspiration for this look came from. I thought the best way to add a dark tone to my outfit was with all black accessories which really complimented the Rey Speeder Dress that Her Universe so kindly sent to me. This is the most comfortable dress I have ever worn. It's very soft, extremely stretchy and it has pockets - a feature that is highly sought after these days. I've only ever worn this dress with sandals and wedges so it was nice to style it for a Winter appropriate look that included pieces like tights, heels and a faux leather jacket. To add that little bit of extra Rey factor, I opted to hang my new Funko Pop Rey keychain from The Last Jedi Smuggler's Bounty box on my clutch. I often enjoy finding new ways to style Star Wars pieces and the addition of the keychain was like the cherry on top! I felt both chic and comfortable while at the theater which is always a nice combination.

As always, I will share "Outfit Outtakes" from time to time on my social media pages and exclusive photos on my Patreon page. Be on the look out!

  1. Wow, great Rey-inspired outfit! I love how the leather jacket also has padding on the shoulder and forearm areas, similar to Rey's Ahch-To vest and gauntlets.

    1. Thank you! Oh, and I didn't even notice that similar detail on my jacket to her vest.. Good eye!

  2. I didn't love it in its entirety but there were definitely parts that I did love about it. I'm going to be sharing a lot of my thoughts on my podcast, Force Cult, soon and possibly in a blog post :)
