Star Wars in Our Kitchen

Star Wars in Our Kitchen | Anakin and His Angel

There was a time quite a while ago where I said I didn't think we should have any Star Wars collectibles, utensils, etc. in the kitchen. But then I unexpectedly received some Star Wars themed kitchen items and from then on I slowly picked up a few more pieces here on there. Star Wars definitely isn't as prominent in our kitchen as it is in our living room but I think it works this way. It's kind of like a splash of Star Wars that adds a unique touch to the space and everything really fits in well with the blue, gold and mint color scheme.

The Han Solo and Greedo Salt and Pepper shakers from an older Smuggler's Bounty Subscription Box by Funko have never been used but I think they make a great decoration! However, my Darth Vader mug (which you can order from Her Universe for $14.90) gets used but not in the traditional way. I like to save some mugs for other things besides drinking like holding tea packets. I think it makes for an unexpected and fun way of storing tea and it looks pretty! The Jabba mug is also from Smuggler's Bounty. I use him often so please don't mind the slight tea stains inside the cup and the chip on the handle. He's obviously been well loved.

Speaking of mugs, I own a decent amount of Star Wars mugs and that doesn't even include the glassware, tumblers, children's cups, etc. that fill our cupboards. I figured I'd at least show you a few of them. The C-3PO mug is from a Smuggler's Bounty box, the Rey mug is from the Disney Store and the Darth Vader mug was gifted to my husband. It's stainless steel and self stirring (you know, the Force) and is currently available on Amazon for $24.99. I received the Chewbacca cup for free on the opening night of Solo: A Star Wars Story from Regal Cinemas and the Range Trooper Tumbler was a promotional item from Denny's.

My newest addition is this Wampa Snack Bowl I found on Amazon for $9.93. Lately I've been using it to store either lemons or mandarin oranges. I never keep candy in the house so filling it with something that I use often made the most sense to me.

I own several Star Wars spatulas and I absolutely love the designs and how perfectly they coordinate with the color scheme. You can find this 4-pack on Amazon for $24.99. They are dishwasher safe and heat resistant up to 450°. I've been using them since last Christmas and they get a big thumbs up from me!

Our refrigerator is decorated with various bits some of which include excellent Star Wars magnets both made by talented friends on mine. The Disneyland Porg is by Creations by M while the "It's fake and in Space" magnet is by Squadron Goals.

On top of our refrigerator are many of our larger Funko Pops including every single one from the Smuggler's Bounty boxes that we've kept. My favorite is still Han Solo on the Taun Taun. This was something I began doing last year at some point and I really like the way it looks!

This color scheme, which is probably my favorite throughout our home, continues in the dining room. We have some wall art up and a centerpiece on the table that coordinate but I chose not to feature them today since neither of them are Star Wars related. However, we do have a small shelf up with some Star Wars pieces to tie the rooms together. These items include: a couple of vases, a Taun Taun and Wampa Tiki mug, an AT-AT mug (find it on Amazon for $10.99), a candle, and a Mystery Mini figure of Chief Murumuru (Revenge of the Sith). This may seem like an odd item to display but I recently received him in the latest Smuggler's Bounty box and thought he would look good here with his green and gold armor.

I hope you enjoyed getting a peek into how I decorate one of the rooms in our home. Let me know what you like the most and if you have any questions in a comment below!
