Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - Recent Purchases

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - Recent Purchases | Anakin and His Angel

I've been to Galaxy's Edge three times so far and wrote about what I purchased when my husband, Jason, and I went on opening day here. Today I will be sharing with you everything else I've picked up since then. There are many exclusive collectibles on Batuu and if you aren't already a fan who is a collector, you just might become one after your visit. The unique items that are available are some of the best Star Wars collectibles I have seen and quite unlike anything you can typically find in stores or online.

The most recent item that I purchased is the Bubo Wamba Family Farms Light-Up Souvenir Sipper or as it's more commonly know, the Milk Sipper. It is available at the Blue and Green Milk stand which is located across from the TIE Echelon and the First Order Cargo shop. For $24.99 (the Annual Passholder discount is not accepted here), you'll receive the light-up jug filled with your choice of Blue or Green Milk. One on side you'll find a Bantha logo and the other side features a Thala-Siren logo. It also comes with a comfortable strap that is removable. I absolutely loved wearing this around my neck and taking sips of my Blue Milk throughout the day during my last visit. Oh, and if you have a difficult time finding the switch for the light, you can find it on the bottom of the sipper and underneath the sticker.

Even if you're not building your own droid at the Droid Depot, which is located next to Savi's Workshop, I would highly suggest stepping inside this shop. There's so much to observe and there's a plethora of awesome droid merchandise. I stumbled upon this adorable bronze keychain of a very wobbly Pitdroid. I've had it on my backpack ever since purchasing it! The keychain is priced at $9.99 ($7.99 after the 20% off Annual Passholder discount). You can also find a K-2SO and IG-88 keychain in this same style but in silver.

Jason and I built our own Lightsabers at Savi's Workshop - Handbuilt Lightsabers which you can read all about here if you'd like. We also picked up a couple of Lightsaber Belt Clips so that we could carry them around like a true Jedi or Sith would. The clips can be found at Dok Ondar's Den of Antquities, which is located next door to Savi's Workshop, for $17.99 ($14.39 after the AP discount). They're made really well and work best when clipped on a belt. I do want to warn you though, if you plan to wear your hilt on the clip, prepare for it to get scratched up. Jason wore his to the parks recently and came home with a bunch of scratches on his from sitting down and getting up all day. He actually likes it because he said it makes it look more worn but if you want to keep yours in good condition, you might not want to wear it.

All Lightsabers need Kyber Crystals! We picked up almost all of the colors that were available, however, I didn't see yellow while I was there and I had no idea that Jason wanted the purple until they were completely sold out. These are the only two colors that we are missing! The word is that Dok Ondar's Den of Antquities won't be re-stocked with Kyber Crystals until September. The only way to acquire them right now is by building a custom Lightsaber at Savi's Workshop or by purchasing a Jedi or Sith Holocron. The Jedi Holocron will allow you to purchase a blue crystal and the Sith Holocron will give you the chance to purchase a red one. The Kyber Crystals are $12.99 each ($10.39 after the AP discount) however they could be going up in price whenever they are re-stocked.

The Kyber Crystals come in different shapes and each one has a specific character integrated into the crystal. You can find out which character you have by placing a Crystal in a Jedi Holocron and listening to it playback iconic character quotes. For example: We got Chirrut ÃŽmwe in both of our white crystals but other characters, like Ahsoka Tano, can be found in white as well.

Speaking of Holocrons...

Originally we picked up the Sith Holocron but I ended up exchanging it after finding out that it is only the Jedi Holocron that reveals which characters you have with the Kyber Crystals. The sith Holocron only plays Palpatine quotes which I found quite disturbing. Both Holocrons can be found at Dok Ondar's Den of Antquities for $49.99 ($39.99 with the AP discount). They come in a drawstring bag along with an instruction manual and a USB cord to charge it.

Jason says I should've kept the Sith Holocron because when you place the two together they interact with each other but I surprisingly didn't see the point of having both. Who knows, he may persuade me in the future.

Jason and I are huge fans of Salacious Crumb so when we spotted the Kowakian Monkey-Lizard station at the Market, we couldn't help but take one home with us! Besides the fact that he can sit comfortably on your shoulder with a magnetic piece that you place underneath you shirt, we absolutely love the way he moves and the little sounds he makes (all controlled by the owner). $69.99 ($55.99 with the AP discount) is a pretty high price point but this little guy is totally worth it! I think it is safe to say that this is Jason's favorite item after the Lightsaber that he built.

Last but not least, Jason spotted this Darth Vader Goblet at Dok Ondar's Den of Antquities and added it to our purchase. It costs $24.99 ($19.99 with the AP discount). This goblet screams Dark Side and would make a great decoration! Please be aware that if you plan to purchase this with the intention of using it, unfortunately it cannot be used to hold warm drinks.

Which of these items is your favorite? Have you been to Galaxy's Edge yet? What did you purchase? Let me know in a comment below!

  1. Awesome post. That darth Vader goblet is amazing. I've never seen it. Im going back to batuu in a week and i hope they aren't sold out. It's so cool. Thanks for pointing this out. Also i didn't know the sith Holocron was only palpatine. I might go with the jedi Holocron too. Thanks again for the awesome post

    1. You're very welcome! I hope they have the Goblet when you go back to Batuu. And yes, other people have told me that the Sith Holocron did the same thing for them. I think that is how it is supposed to work even though I had one Cast Member tell me that placing the Kyber Crystals in either one should work. I think they might actually be mistaken!
