Star Wars Style Swap

FanWraps Passenger Series Review: The Child | Anakin and His Angel

When my friend Bella from Punch It Chewie Press and the new Star Wars Style Instagram account purchased her Disneyland pass, I instantly got in touch with her about doing a collaboration together on Batuu. Star Wars Style features individuals from around the galaxy in their OOTDs, cosplays, Star Wars bounds and more! Plus, Bella has her very own vintage Star Wars shop! I'd highly suggest following her if you aren't already. Bella came up with the idea to style each other using pieces from our own closets and I came up with the name - Star Wars Style Swap! I've never seen anyone else do this in the Star Wars community and thought it would be fun letting someone else decide what I would wear. The suspense of the surprise made meeting up on Batuu even more exciting and I felt absolutely great in the outfit that Bella chose for me!

As much as I️ love styling Star Wars outfits, I️ love seeing how other people put theirs together. I’ve read Jenmarie’s blog posts about her Style Wars collaboration with Mollie and I️ thought this would be a fun idea! I️ had no idea how Jenmarie was going to style me, but I️ absolutely love how the look turned out! I️ hope this collaboration inspires others to swap styles and head to the parks together. -Bella

WHAT JENMARIE WORE:

Vintage X-Wing T-shirt: Star Wars Style
Joe Fresh Cardigan: Nordstrom Rack (Similar)
Super Stretch Jegging: American Eagle
Rey Boots: Po Zu
Hair Clip: Target
Kyber Crystal Necklace: Punch It Chewie Press
"I'm On It Luke" Pin: Punch It Chewie Press
X-Wing Pin: Punch It Chewie Press (Currently only available as a sticker)

I’m all about looking cute but remaining comfortable, so the pieces I️ chose for Jenmarie reflected that. I’m a sucker for vintage, so I️ had to style her in a t-shirt from ‘95 that features Luke making the Death Star trench run. A statement tee makes styling the rest of the outfit very easy. I️ paired it with a cozy grey sweater that compliments the grey on the DeathStar, and suggested that she pair it with black pants and black boots. I️ love adding little touches to a look, so I️ gave her two X-Wing pins for her to pin onto the cardigan and finished off the outfit with a green Jedi Rogue Kyber Pendant as a nod to one of the greatest Jedi of all time. Jenmarie totally rocked this look!

WHAT BELLA WORE:

The Clone Wars T-shirt: Her Universe
Wild Fable Fuzzy Cardigan Target
Kensie Jeans: Marshalls (Similar)
Fedora: Amazon
Women's 1460 Smooth: Dr. Martens
Hudson Link Necklace: Brighton Collectibles
Hunger Mini Watch: c/o Flex Watches

As the plans for Star Wars Style Swap fell into place, we chose to wear our own pants and shoes since we wear different sizes but that still left us a lot of room to play! For Bella, I picked out one of my favorite t-shirts from Her Universe featuring several Bounty Hunters from The Clone Wars. I wear it all of the time and recently paired it with this amazing pink fluffy cardigan and thought it would also look great on Bella! I love the way it picks up the pink hues from the t-shirt. This black fedora is one of my staple pieces in my wardrobe so I couldn't leave that out. I also accessorized her outfit with a silver chain link necklace and a black watch from Flex watches. I love Flex Watches because each color watch represents a different cause that the company donates 10% of the sale too. If you're interested, you can get $10 off the watch of your choice with the code: "AMBASSADOR10". The black pants and her Doc Martins that she wore complimented the look perfectly. I think this outfit would be great for many occasions, even Star Wars Celebration Anaheim!
