I didn't plan to put together a Rogue Jedi outfit until after I found this wrap dress on the clearance rack at Old Navy. It was only $8! What a steal, right? I instantly knew it would be great for a Jedi look and once I began accessorizing it with various black pieces, I thought portraying a Rogue Jedi would be fun. The idea behind this character is that she wants to follow in Kylo Ren's footsteps by becoming a skilled swordsman and leader. Though she wields a lightsaber with a red kyber crystal, she has only recently joined the Dark Side so she hasn't fully transitioned her wardrobe in accordance with her new lifestyle yet (hence the rustic brown garment). She's a mysterious one, that's for sure.
The Hooded Cowl is a crocheted piece that my mom made for me years ago (you can purchase the pattern for it here). I was so glad that I remembered that I had it because I really think it gave this outfit (aka a "Star Wars Bound") the perfect finishing touch. All of the accessories I'm wearing are pieces I already had in my closet. Sometimes it just takes some mixing and matching to style a new look. You can find links to everything I'm wearing below. I honestly felt amazing in this outfit and I'm rather proud of how it turned out. I wore it to Batuu and to my very first Lightsaber Meetup, which I'll be talking more about soon on the blog. Keep your eyes peeled!

DeleteLove your creativity and how you can put together outfits that others may not have even been able to imagine-up in their mind (like me haha). The photos are amazing as well. Idk who your photographer is (maybe your husband, Jason?), but they deserve some accolades as well! Great post, and I look forward to reading many more in the future! 'Till the spires!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I hope it inspires you to put your own looks together. Jason takes my photos unless stated otherwise :)
