Since I haven't been able to bring Batuu to you due to the Disneyland Resort being closed, I thought I would put together a roundup of some of the Galaxy's Edge merchandise that's both new and coming soon. One day, I'll be back on the warm planet drinking Blue Milk, looking for new legacy lightsabers at Dok Ondar's Den of Antiquities and taking photos. But for now, I think it's nice to see Batuu continuing to live on outside of the park through literature and collectibles.
During San Diego Comic-Con at Home, there was a Lucasfilm publishing panel where several new and upcoming titles were announced. Two of them are Galaxy's Edge themed. The one I'm the most excited about is the The Art of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge which is written by Amy Ratcliffe and due to be released on April 27, 2021. I said it recently and I'll say it again, Star Wars Art and Visual Dictionary books are my absolute favorite Star Wars books to dig into. I really enjoy being able to get a closer look at the creative processes that took place to get to the finished product. I've always been a fan of concept art and interesting facts and that's exactly what these types of books provide. You can pre-order The Art of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge for $32.89 from Amazon.
The other title announcement is called Star Wars Myths & Fables written by George Mann. It will feature six new stories set on Batuu, Endor, Dathomir and Mon Cala and it is due to be released later this year. There is no pre-order link yet available. If you missed the previous installment, you can order it from Amazon in hard cover, Kindle or Audiobook formats.
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: Traveler's Guide to Batuu is another Galaxy's Edge title written by Cole Horton that was just recently released and is available on Amazon in both hard cover ($17.99) and Kindle ($9.99) formats. This official guide will recommend to you all the best places to eat, shop and sightsee, as if you were traveling from another part of the galaxy.
Oh, and if you're interested, I put together an extensive First Time Visit to Galaxy's Edge Guide earlier this year!
There are several Galaxy's Edge themed pins that would normally only be available at Disneyland and Walt Disney World available on the shopDisney website, but due to the current state of our world, exceptions have been made. Most of them are a limited edition of only 1,500 and they are all priced at $17.99. I'd suggest keeping an eye out for new styles when the "Pins of the Month" change. DisneyPinsBlog.com is a great resource for keeping up with all of the latest Star Wars pins!
On to toys! Target is releasing a Galaxy's Edge collection on August 30th online and in-stores. Several items were up for pre-order recently which, of course, sold out in a matter of minutes. There is a possibility of some of the items being re-stocked again before the launch so I've included links and prices to everything below. I'm excited to see what other items will be available on launch day! Nothing here really screams my name though I do like the DJ R-3X Black Series figure. What do you think?
If you're in the UK, there are Comic Stores that are now taking pre-orders on select Galaxy's Edge merchandise. You can check out Fantha Tracks' Instagram page for a list of the items available.

Funko POP! Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - R5 Unit (Target Exclusive) | $8.99
When this Funko Pop was first announced, many people made comments about wishing it was a droid that was actually represented on Batuu. So, I did some searching around and found a photo of M5-23 chilling on an exterior droid repair station which is in the middle of the Droid Depot and Milk Stand. The Astromech is indeed real my friends! Keep in mind this Funko Pop is a Target exclusive.
Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Hyperdrive BB Unit | $99.99
