Star Wars 332nd Clone Trooper Helmet Review - SamoilovART

Star Wars 332nd Clone Trooper Helmet Review - SamoilovART | Anakin and His Angel

I finally did it. I purchased my very first Star Wars helmet and I didn't even have to think about which one it would be. I chose the 332nd Clone Trooper Helmet from SamoilovART, a small business I have been eyeing for a while. Their work is absolutely impeccable, and I can't recommend them enough if you're looking to purchase a Star Wars helmet.

As many of you probably know, Ahsoka Tano is one of my favorite Star Wars characters. I've also loved Troopers of all kinds ever since I can remember. So, when the 332nd Company was revealed in The Clone Wars Season 7, I just about died over the design. It's also such an impactful moment in the series that I'll never forget.

I filmed an unboxing of the helmet on IGTV which you can watch here. Today, I'm featuring a Q&A below where I asked my followers on Instagram what questions they had about the helmet. You'll also find many photos as you read through the information I provided, which I hope is helpful to you! Please feel free to comment on this post with any additional questions you may have.

Is it comfortable to wear?

It is not only comfortable to wear but it's THE BEST FEELING wearing this helmet. It's almost like it transforms you, and when you walk up to a mirror and see yourself, ...there are no words. I'm just a very happy Star Wars fan! Overall, it doesn't feel tight, but it also doesn't feel too loose so, I guess you can say that it's the perfect fit!

It also comes with padding, which I really appreciate. When I'm wearing it, my eyes are aligned with the visor so I can see perfectly. When my husband Jason tried it on, his eyes were above the visor so, if he were to wear it somewhere, we would need to add extra padding to make it fit correctly.

Can you wear the helmet with glasses?

I wear glasses occasionally when using my laptop, so I decided to test this out. I could not get the helmet on all the way while wearing my glasses. I would not recommend trying it since since I got stuck for a few seconds and slightly panicked.

Is each helmet made to fit per requested size or is there a standard size that they come in?

The helmets are a standard "adult" size but you could send SamoilovART a message to inquire about a custom fit. For reference, the circumference of my head is 29.94 centimeters. Like I stated above, it is neither tight or too loose. I really like the fit and it doesn't touch my shoulders which, as I learned, is important when wearing a helmet.

Is it easy to breathe in? Does the visor fog up?

I can get claustrophobic and I don't find it difficult to breathe in. I did notice that while moving around and taking photos with two giant softbox lights in front of me, that I did get a little hot but it wasn't awful. I just took the helmet off for a minute and popped it back on without a problem. I haven't worn it long enough to notice any fogging up but I imagine that could happen, especially on a hot day. Though it does have small holes for venting that are incorporated into the design located below the visor.

How long did it take to receive?

After I ordered this helmet, it took one month to arrive from Romania. However, I'd like to point out that I was given a special opportunity to order mine seperate from one of their shop drops. Basically, my helmet was a made-to-order item. When there's a shop drop, their approximate shipping time is 2-4 weeks.

Was the helmet packaged well?

OH-MY-GOSH, YES! It was shipped in a large box, though it wasn't heavy at all. I think people will be surprised by how light the helmets actually are. It was wrapped in layers of bubble wrap and had large pieces of foam padding surrounding it. I was so impressed.

How much is this helmet?

This particular helmet is $245, excluding shipping and sales tax. Their helmets range in price from $230-$300.

Is it available to purchase?

The shop is currently closed but opens multiple times throughout the year. Their next sale wave is JUNE 15th. What they do is make a bunch of helmets at a time and then they list them so that they're all ready to be shipped! I would suggest following their Etsy Shop and their Instagram page to not only stay up-to-date with their business, but to take a look at the wide variety of helmets they offer.

What do you think of this helmet? Do you have any of your own? Would you be interested in adding one to your own Star Wars collection someday? Let me know your thoughts in a comment below or get in touch with me on Instagram or Twitter.

The amazin t-shirt I'm wearing in these photos is c/o Only Hope Supply. It is available in sizes XS-4XL. You can pre-order it now for $20.00 here. I'm a huge fan of their t-shirts. The fit is great and they're super soft!
