This morning, several new items appeared on both Batuu East and West (Please note: None of the items featured in today's post are available at Downtown Disney or Disney Springs).
This is the third week in a row that Disney has dropped a new legacy saber. During opening week at Disneyland, the Leia & Reforged Skywalker Legacy Lightsaber Set set was released at both parks and on the shopDisney website, and just last week, Rey's Legacy Lightsaber was also made available! I thought that would be the last of it for a while! However, this morning, the Darksaber was released at both parks! So, the question is, when will the surprise drops end? I'm not complaining. In fact, it's quite thrilling! But, I think it would help out a lot of fans if these drops were spaced out some and if more of them were made available on shopDisney for those who can't get to the parks. Anyhow, let's take a look at all of the new merhandise!
THE DARKSABER
The Darksaber is $199.99 ($215 with tax) and comes with the blade (which IS removable) and a stand, which is a first for legacy sabers! They usually do NOT come with a stand or the blade, so it's not a bad deal. The Darksaber does come in a box but, unlike the other boxes, this one is made of cardboard. One thing to point out about Disney's version is that there is no white crackle on the black part of the blade whatsoever. The white part of the blade is also very thick and the glow has a blue tint. My friend Wonders of Magic explained to me that the blade is very flimsy, but that it has a nice grip. He also said that it's more lightweight than he expected it to be. Overall, he gives it an 8/10. If you'd like to see and hear what it sounds like, check out this post.
Keep in mind that Hasbro’s Darksaber (referral) is $249.99 and is due to be released this August. It comes with a removable blade, stand and rechargeable battery through USB. It also has "sreen-accurate sounds, ignition, clash, blaster, and wall-cutting FX", according to their listing. Hasbro's doesn't appear to have the white crackle on the black part of the blade either but the thickness of the white part of the blade seems to be more screen accurate. However, the photos available may not be final product photos.
The crackle might not be important to some, but to me, it's one of the most prominent features of the Darksaber and I just really like it. Below you'll see a photo of me holding Hasbro's "toy version" which is actually pretty impressive. I do wish we got to see this feature implimented on the new legacy saber.
It's really hard for me to compare the two without seeing them in person but I think I'm leaning more towards Hasbro's, which is shocking since I'm obsessed with the legacy sabers. How about you? Which do you prefer?

3 NEW PLUSHIES
The new ragdoll plushies featuring JarJar Binks, Darth Maul, and Dok Ondar himself are now available at the Toydarian Toymaker! They are $22.99 each and obviously worth every penny.
I think this is quite possibly the cutest piece of Jar Jar merchandise I've ever seen, and I love that Dok Ondar is carrying a lightsaber in a bag similar to the one you receive after building a lightsaber at Savi's. As for Darth Maul, I remember seeing him as a decorative piece at the Toydarian Toymaker on opening day at Disneyland. I'm glad he's available now!

LOTH CAT & LAVA MEERKAT
These sweet faces appeared today at the Creature Stall. We've seen a Lothcat ($49.99) before but this one is a different color variant that we've seen in The Clone Wars and in an episode of Forces of Destiny (as seen here thanks to Johnamarie). It makes noise and is overall, quite stiff. It's not exactly a "plushie" but it's still a cute collectible!
I definitely didn't expect the Lava Meerkat from The Mandalorian ($34.99) to be as adorable as it is! It also purrs if you pet it, which is an endearing feature if you ask me.

BOBA FETT'S JETPACK
This child sized Jet Pack ($49.99) has a foam tip launching missle, lights and sound effects! You can find it at Black Spire Outfitters. I'm sure there will be many fans who add some weathering to it and use it as a display piece. Younglings and Sithlings will definitely get a kick out of this item. It's honestly surprising something like this wasn't put on shelves a long time ago! I'm not going to lie, I'm definitely curious to see how it would look on me.

DROID LOUNGEFLY BACKPACK & MATCHING WALLET
Just a few days ago, these new Loungefly accessories were spotted at the Droid Depot. The backpack is $74.99 while the matching light-up wallet is $34.99. This is the second matching set we've seen featured at the Droid Depot since Galaxy's Edge opened.
Did you know? You can check in your merchandise at the Droid Depot so you can be hands-free while enjoying the park. It's a simple and easy process that involves presenting your receipt for any merchandise you've purchased along with providing some basic contact details should you not be able to return to pick up your items before the park closes.

MYTHOSAUR SKULL TIKI MUG
The new Mythosaur Skull Tiki Mug is available at Black Spire Outfitters for $24.99. If Tiki Mugs aren't your thing, this would also make such a great display piece. I love how incredibly detailed it is

TOYS, SHIPS & VEHICLES
There are several new metal toys at Toydarian Toymaker for $17.99 each including an AT-AT, the Millennium Falcon and a TIE Fighter. The TIE Fighter looks like the one hanging from the ceiling in the shop. If that's the case, I think that's really cool as there's always been a lot of fun trinkets to look at above and around the shop area. I'm definitely going to need that AT-AT!
Also spotted were new poseable figurines ($19.99 each) including Kylo Ren, Poe Dameron and a Sandtrooper (Boba Fett was previously available). These are super fun for fans of all ages!
Finally, there is a new Bounty Hunter Wooden Puzzle ($17.99) that is made up of three pentagons that can be twisted to create unique variations of the characters (the one below it featuring Dark Side characters was previously released). I don't know about you, but I love these vintage-inspired toys that inspire creativity that are available in this shop.

BOBA FETT MASK
This Electronic Boba Fett mask ($49.99) looks amazing! You can find it at Black Spire Outfitters. It has authentic sounds and a voice changer mechanism. This mask is made for a child to coincide with the jetpack pictured above. One thing's for sure, there's going to be a lot of little Boba Fetts this Halloween!

BOBA FETT WEAR
A new Mythosaur adult-sized t-shirt as well as a Boba Fett children's t-shirt are available at Blackspire Outfitters along with several other new items (mentioned above). Unfortunately, I do not have prices for either of these pieces at this time.

Also incoming is the new remote control D-O droid (seen in the first photo within this blog post) which hasn't been spotted yet. What do you think of the new merchandise? Do you have a favorite? If you're planning to get a Darksaber, which one will you choose? Let me know your thoughts in a comment below or get in touch with me on Instagram or Twitter. Please also feel free to email me with any additional information on any of the products featured in today's post.
