With The Book of Boba Fett just around the corner (it debuts on Disney+ on December 29th) my amazing and lovely friend Ash from Always Believe and I decided that our next Star Wars bounds should focus on the main characters of the series - Boba Fett and Fennec Shand! Because, if you know us, we like to celebrate by creatively dressing up as Star Wars characters! *Photo heavy post ahead!
We headed to Downtown Disney, where they currently have one of the coolest photo ops I've ever seen - Boba Fett's throne! It's located right next to the Star Wars Trading Post. Seeing it in person honestly made me realize how cool it would be to have this in a future home someday. I think it's super fun that they're celebrating the series in this way, and I'm excited to hopefully see this trend continue with all the new Star Wars series we have to look forward to in the coming years.

Originally, I had wanted to bring my new Black Series Boba Fett (Re-Armored) Helmet to wear, but it was uncertain whether or not I'd be able to put it on for a photo (it really depends on who is helping you at the Security check-in but please note, guests are NOT permitted to walk around the parks with a helmet on) so, I decided to save that for another time! Black is a very prominent color featured in Boba's new wardrobe so, I started with that basic color using pieces like a faux leather a-line skirt and a long collared duster, both which I've had for YEARS. I then layered with other familiar colors that represent the character. The green checkered crop top layered over the black body suit and paired with the brown belt really sold this look for me! A lot of times layering and using different patterns or textures work great to really capture certain details of the armor/outfits worn in Star Wars. Since I wasn't wearing the helmet, I opted for gold hair clips to represent his helmet stripes (they are more of an orange-ish red now but they have been this color before. You may also notice that my tights feature a similiar look to the sigil symbol on Boba's armor. Funny thing is, I didn't even realize it until I put them on! The boots are from Po-Zu and are always a great option for bounding. I think that this look overall is just really fun, especially if you know the character. This was definitely one of my most exciting bounds I've styled, and I did it in a day!
WHAT ASHLEIGH WORE:
Faux Leather Top: Forever 21
A-line Skirt: ModCloth
Belt: Hot Topic
Boots: Thrifted
Cardigan: Thrifted
Grogu Backpack: Loungefly
For this Fennec Shand bound, I shopped my closet literally the morning of! When I put together a bound, I will look quickly at the character costume and see what elements of that costume stand out the most. Then I will find ways to bring those elements into my outfit. I knew I wanted to first address the detailing she has on the upper portion of her costume, so I started with a black Forever 21 mini dress that I thrifted a few months ago for the leather detailing on the top. Originally, I planned to use it for Vader, but this was actually perfect for Fennec since she also has some similar detailing. Now this dress is way too short for me to ever feel comfortable wearing in public, so I trimmed some of the bottom off and converted it into a top. I wanted to bring some color into the outfit and since she has some orange details, I decided to go with an orange mid length skirt I bought from ModCloth last year (which also worked well to hide my hackjob to the dress/top). For the belt, I used part of a belt from The Suicide Squad Harley Quinn collection from Hot Topic. I have been using this belt a lot lately for any Star Wars bound that requires a black belt. I just turn it backwards. Her boots have some strap details to them so I used my “circa 2000 raver boots” I originally thrifted for my Alice Resident Evil cosplay. Another detail of her costume that popped out at me is her kama (I had to Wookiepeedia this term), which is the long skirt detail from her belt. This was hard to add in! But I went with a long black cardigan that came to a point at the bottom to kind of give it that same vibe. For the braid, I took one look at hers and said “oh absolutely not.” (I’m not the best with hair!) So I made two small braids in the front and braided it into one long braid with the rest of my hair. For her “helmet” I wished I had an orange headband but since I was out of time I found a black one instead. I used my Grogu backpack from Loungefly for the day at Disney and done!
We hope that you enjoyed our newest Star Wars bounds! If we were to do another set of characters, who would you choose for us next? Let let us know by leaving a comment below or get in touch with us individually below:
