To celebrate my blog's 23rd anniversary today, I'm beyond ecstatic to reveal what I've been working on for some time with you all today (please be patient as the high res. photos load)! Many of you probably know how much I love Anakin/Vader. I think that because he is my all-time favorite Star Wars character, I've been subconsciously hesitant to tackle this look. But I’m honestly so incredibly happy with it, and I’m so thankful to Tom Howard for helping me bring this outfit to life. Please stay tuned on Instagram for more photos and BTS content.
I'd also like to take a moment to say that whether you’ve been on this journey with me since the beginning or are a newer follower, I thank you for being here. I love that I get to bond over Star Wars with so many of you across the galaxy! This space that I've created has surpassed my wildest dreams. I’m very blessed that I get to call this my hobby and job.
Bounding, for me, usually includes gathering various accessories, clothing, and props that resemble what the character is wearing or any stand-out features that they possess. But this bound actually required some DIY. I cut and glued strips of silver ribbon to a black faux leather ruffled collar by Steve Madden that I found on eBay. I think it really added that special detail that I was looking for with Vader's shoulder armor. I also found a chest plate patch on Etsy that I stitched on by hand to a faux leather top from Revolve. It felt really special to be able to do some designing for this look! Of course, I couldn't forget the scar on his face which I re-created with brown and copper eyeshadows.
The black skirt is an Amazon find that I own in three different colors. It's great for those dramatic shots! The veil was the last piece I ordered. I love the way it boldly creates the shape of Vader's helmet. You can find links/references to everything else that I wore, the majority of it being from Amazon, below!
