The Acolyte at San Diego Comic Con

The Lucasfilm Pavilion at San Diego Comic Con featured costumes, concept art, and props from The Acolyte. It felt so good kicking off the event with this incredible display, especially just after finishing the finale. While, at times, it was difficult to stare and marvel at everything for too long, it was an amazing sight to see the love for this show. A crowded booth equals success!

I hope you enjoy the photos I was able to capture! Please keep in mind while scrolling that this post is photo-heavy. Are videos more of your vibe? You can also watch the footage I captured on Instagram.

It's always incredible seeing costumes up close because you gain a deeper appreciation over the craftsmanship that brought these pieces to life, and a better look at the fine details. For example, Master Vernestra's Jedi cloak has what looks to be a subtle golden thread woven throughout the garment. I couldn't capture it on camera, but it was exquisite. The Stranger's helmet was just as cool as you'd expect it to be in person. It made me all the more excited to own the Black Series version by Hasbro Pulse when that becomes available next year. Mother Aniseya's accessories were another favorite of mine. Those rings!

Many of the props on display had a short time on-screen so, it was a treat to get a better look at them! I instantly recognized Osha's plushies from the scene when she's alone in her room, right before Mae starts the fire. They'd be the perfect addition to the Toydarian Toymaker shop on Batuu! Of course, the lightsabers were one of the main highlights, at least for me! I could've stared at them forever. I'm also hoping that we see some of these gorgeous hilts become available to purchase from Disney and Hasbro.

The concept art was so beautiful! One piece in particular became a topic of conversation between myself and another fan. A piece that looked as though Yorde and either Mae or Osha are battling it out. Although the hairstyle does look like Yorde's, the figure is wielding a green lightsaber though that could've changed later on. At first glance, I thought because of the fire, they were on Brendok. But the large trees in the background also make me think that it could be Kohfar. Perhaps we will gain more insight when The Art of The Acolyte is released next year, which I can't wait for!

A HUGE thank you to San Diego Comic Con for giving me the honor of attending the show for the first time as Press! Unfortunately, due to a foot issue, I was only able to attend the convention one out of the four days. I absolutely loved my time there, and I felt fortunate to be able to capture what I did see and bring it back to share with all of you.
