The Mandalorian and Grogu - Jabba the Hutt's Son

Yesterday, on Good Morning America, Jeremy Allen White discussed voicing Rotta the Hutt in The Mandalorian and Grogu movie coming to theaters May 22nd, 2026.

If you didn’t know, Rotta (pronounced “Rah-tah”) is Jabba the Hutt’s son, whom we first saw in The Clone Wars movie. Yep, he’s that same little slug that Ahsoka Tano named “Stinky.”

In the interview, Jeremy shared that he’s been a huge fan of Jon Favreau for a very long time and that he loves Star Wars. He said Jon invited him to come in and do a voice-over for Star Wars, and that he had the realization of the weight of the character that he was voicing, and that it’s been a fun process. He also shared that he’s excited to take his kids to see the movie.

I don’t know about you, but I love that they're bringing this charaxter back for the movie! I can't wait to see Rotta in action! What do you think? You can get in touch with me by leaving a comment below or following me on my social media channels: Instagram, X, Threads or Bluesky.
