During the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Seth Green surprised the audience with the announcement that a selection of episodes from Star Wars Detours will be showcased at the museum in the Slavko Vorkapich Theater. This will be part of the Inagural Film Program where guests can drop-in and enjoy short films which will be played throughout the day. A few other noteable features include student films from George Lucas (1965-1969) himself, an episode of Star Wars: Visions, and early sound animations by Walt Disney Studios and Fleischer Studios. Guests looking for documentary-centered films can visit the Robert Flaherty Theater. For the full list of short films and documentaries that will be played, click here.

In case you weren’t aware, Detours was an animated parody created by Seth Green & Matthew Senreich that was originally announced in 2012 at Star Wars Celebration, but unfortunately was never aired.
Would I love to see all 39 episodes? Sure, but some are 100% better than none. Maybe one day all the episodes will be released on Disney+, or better yet, on physical media. Regardless, I can’t wait to watch the episodes!
