I had the pleasure of receiving a media ticket to attend the Conversations with Billy Dee Williams interview at the ninth Star Wars Reads event in Rancho Cucamona, California at Victoria Gardens on Sunday, May 29th. Prior to gracing us with his presence on stage, the Library Director, Michelle Perera, presented the crowd with a beautiful montage of Mr. Williams' work in entertainment throughout the years. After a standing ovation, Billy Dee Williams genuinely expressed his admiration for the city and proceeded to discuss his favorite material to read, stories of his career as an artist in various mediums, and his unique experiences in playing Lando Calrissian. Rather than me going into more detail about his favorite aspects of Lando and how he made it very clear, after being continuously prodded about the subject, that he never thought about race when he got the part of Han's ol' buddy, why don't you listen to the thirty minute interview?
