On January 29th, 2008 Ahsoka Tano's name was revealed as well as the very first promo image of the character for Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Twitter user AhsokaTanosLife declared the day "Ahsoka Tano Day" and it has been wildly celebrated across social media since 2015. In celebration of today I wanted to create an every day make-up look inspired by one of my favorite Star Wars characters!
I think it's simple to achieve this look as the primary focus are the eyes and lips. You can do the rest of your make-up however you normally do it! Below I will be talking about all of the products I used on my eyes and lips only but if you have any questions about my foundation, bronzer, etc. please feel free to ask.
I always start with an eyeshadow primer before applying any product to my eyelids. This is going to keep your eye make-up looking fresh all day and it will also make whatever you apply look extra amazing. I prefer Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion ($24) or Milani's Eyeshadow Primer ($6.99). Both are fantastic products and last a very long time. And remember, a little goes a long way!
If you're on a strict budget the Shadow Lock Eyelid Primer ($2.99) by e.l.f. also works really good!
Of course, I had just run out of white eyeshadow but I did have my Jumbo Eye Pencil ($4.50) in the shade Milk by NYX. Since it's a creamy consistency I opted to use my finger to spread it evenly across my eyelid focusing most of the color on my brow bone.

Next up I used a shadow called Adore which is part of the Too Faced Love Palette. This product is no longer sold in stores but you can find it on both Amazon and eBay for around $20-$25. You could also use any orange-ish bronze shade. This Eyeshadow Palette ($9.99) by Essence would be great for this look! Using a soft fluffy brush, I made sure to make the color super vibrant on my eyelids and gradually blended it upwards to create a soft look making sure to not take away from the the white on my brow bone.
For this next step you're going to want to make sure that you've already added your foundation, concealer and powder to set your face. I used the shade Capri Blue Eyeshadow ($2.95) by Coastal Scents to line my under eyes. I then used more of the Milk shade by NYX to add to the inner corner of my eyes.
To make my eyes pop even more I lined my waterline with a Kajal Pencil ($1.49) in the color White by the brand Essence. For a more natural look you can choose to use a nude color.
If you wear eyeliner and mascara you can finish off your eye make-up with your go-to products! But if you're interested, I will list mine here for you.
I personally think that the Picture Perfect Eyelash Curler ($18.00) by Tarte is the best eyelash curler in existence. I have been using it since 2008! I curl mine much longer than I see any Beauty Guru do it on YouTube. So there's a tip for ya ;)
As for mascara, I always use two! For the first coat I apply Define-A-Lash Lengthening Mascara ($7.99) by Maybelline (I also love this one whenever I can find it in stores!) Next I apply Volum' Express Falsies Waterpoof Mascara ($6.99) in the shade Very Black also by Maybelline. The trick for lengthened and full lashes is to hold the wand steady while you lightly blink your lashes onto the bristles. It works wonders!
My absolute favorite eyeliner is the Waterproof Eyeliner Pen ($2.99) by the brand Essence. In case you can't tell, I use a lot of their products. The brand is cruelty-free and sold at ULTA. This product DOES NOT BUDGE and is so insanely affordable.
Ashoka's lips are a brown-ish mauve color. I opted for one of my favorite new lip shades, the Ultra Last Instant Color Lipstick ($4.99) in the color 06 Seduction by Essence. It's such a lovely shade!
That's it! I hope you enjoyed this Ahsoka Tano inspired make-up look. Please let me know what you think in a comment below or send me a Tweet!
I use Urban Decay's primer potion too! Great look!
ReplyDeleteIt's the best, right? I can't imagine never using primer. Thanks so much!
DeleteYou should try to do Ahsoka Tano's facial markings and skin tone too.
ReplyDeleteThat is definitely something I'd like to do someday!
