Star Wars Day is a free yearly event held at Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga, California. I've had the pleasure of attending the event since 2016 and I can't recommend it enough! Originally it started out as Star Wars Reads Day but it has since then grown into much more than just an event focused on encouraging kids to read. There are still many elements with a focus on reading including storytime and free Star Wars books for children. But with there being new panels each year, photo ops, an epic character procession, live bands and other various Star Wars-themed activities, I think the creators felt it was necessary for a name change. The year's event was much larger and by far my favorite time I've attended. I got to see several friends, hang out with my lovely new friend Curstie who I met at a recent Her Universe signing and I got to meet several new people including some of you which always makes me smile.
Daniel Logan (voice of Boba Fett in Attack of the Clones and The Clone Wars) was a featured guest at Star Wars Day. As a Flex Brand Ambassador I had received the Boba Fett watch but unfortunately it didn't fit me correctly. I figured it only made sense to gift it to Boba Fett himself! I wasn't sure if I would get the opportunity to meet him but I brought the watch with me just in case. It just so happened that we ran into each other and he was completely ecstatic over the watch and put it on right away. Daniel was extremely kind and even let me hold his Boba helmet for the photo we took together. Meeting Daniel was definitely the highlight of my day!

I captured as many Star Wars Cosplayers as I could to share with you. One of my favorite moments was seeing Captain Phasma and Darth Vader standing side-by-side. The duo I never knew I wanted to see working together! As always, if you see yourself featured and would like credit please send me an email and I will be happy to add your name and Instagram link beneath your photo.

Members of the 501st Legion, Rebel Legion, Mandalorian Mercs, and the Saber Guild all participated in the character procession which kicked off the event. This is a great time for fans to see and appreciate all of the hard work that these talented individuals put into their armor, costumes and droids. Children's eyes light up when they spot their favorite character waving back at them or when they stop to give them a high-five. It's definitely the highlight of the event! Believe it or not not there were many more characters who were in the parade than who I've featured here. If you're able to, you have to attend to see it yourself!
