Over the last week I've participated in an Instagram Star Wars fashion challenge called The Rise of Style. It's been exciting styling various outfits each day for the themes that were given and I'm sad it's already coming to and end. I thought it would be fun to post my final outfit on the blog in celebration of The Rise of Skywalker opening in theaters today! The final challenge is a free-for-all with a "Force Friday" theme. I chose to share with you what I wore to see the film last night. That's right, I've seen the movie! Both my husband Jason and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. I'll share my thoughts soon.
I wore the new First Order Hype Jersey which is part of the Our Universe brand by Her Universe. It's more lightweight than the Spirit Jerseys sold at the Disney parks and it's extremely soft! I'm really happy that the brand has branched out into making their own jerseys as I'm a huge fan of the style and comfort factor. The jerseys are made of 100% cotton and come in sizes XS - XXL (I'm wearing an XS for reference). I paired it with a velvet choker in red, jeans, my Harvey's Star Wars bag, and my brand new Rey boots by Po Zu which I need to discuss with you...
For those of you who don't know, I've always had foot problems. Most shoes give me either some sort of discomfort or pain. I have many friends who wear Po Zu shoes and I've heard nothing but great things about the brand. I had been eyeing their newest Rey styled boot which I like to call my "Dark Rey boots" and after a few months, I decided to purchase them. I've worn them several times already and they are an absolute dream! I've had no discomfort or pain at all while or after wearing them. In fact, I was almost brought to tears after wearing them a couple of times because I've never owned a pair of boots that were 100% comfortable. The quality is also outstanding! They are made of chrome-free leather, wool felt and natural latex. They also have a built in 12mm thick foot-matreess made of coconut fibre and natural latex which is designed to mold to your foot shape while providing insulation and air circulation to keep your feet dry. This is probably my favorite feature because when I'm walking around I don't feel like I'm walking on the ground. It's crazy! Po Zu is a UK based brand with sustainable and ethically sourced shoes that carry officially licensed brands. I'd highly suggest checking them out. I'll definitely be investing in another pair in the future.
