It's real. #Bendemption happened in The Rise of Skywalker and it was one of the greatest moments in all of Star Wars. So, of course I had to recreate my own version of Ben Solo's look on Exogol. I choose this Cotton Jersey from H&M that is currently on sale for $6.99 (originally $12.99). It's 100% cotton and oversized, which is exactly what I was looking for! It's by the brand Divided which is considered their "Juniors" line. I was told that this shirt specifically is part of the unisex collection. For reference, I'm wearing an XS and I'm 5'2' and about 102 pounds. I did have to fold the sleeves a couple of times but I tend to have that problem as my arms are super short. I was extremely scared to cut the hole in the shirt but I think I did a pretty good job! The hole might be a bit larger in the movie but I did put a lightsaber through it for size (you can laugh, it's fine). I put the shirt on before cutting the hole and placed a piece of tape on the spot where I wanted to cut it. I then pinched the fabric, with the tape still in tact, and made a small slit (thanks mom for the suggestion!). Then the cutting began! I cut little by little in the hopes that I wouldn't have to go buy another shirt, which I didn't. Thank the Force!
I styled the shirt with a pair of black jeggings from American Eagle, my Rey boots from Po Zu and a black headband with a bow on top just because. As for the lightsaber, I had a hard time deciding between my new Ben Solo lightsaber (from The Last Jedi) I recently picked up at Galaxy's Edge or the Rey/Skywalker saber. In the movie, Ben obviously uses the reforged Skywalker saber but after taking a poll on my social media accounts, I was convinced that Ben's saber was the one to use. The votes were pretty close though! I also brought along Han Solo's dice which I also purchased from Galaxy's Edge at the Jewels of Bith shop. You know, just for the sentimental factor.

Originally I told my Instagram followers that I was filming a vlog of the creative process of putting this outfit together. However, In the process of trying to save the video and upload it this morning, the file was corrupted and much of the footage was lost. I am not sure what is left of it at this point but if I can salvage it or make what I have work somehow, you'll be seeing a video soon. If not, I plan to do the same thing with my next outfit. I'm sorry for the disappointing news!
