Today is the second anniversary of Solo: A Star Wars Story, a film that ranks quite high on my list of favorite Star Wars movies. To celebrate, I'm participating in the #MakeSolo2Happen movement which was created by my friends over at The Resistance Broadcoast. There are some fans who long to see this story continued whether it be in a feature-length film or in a series on Disney Plus. I myself would love to see what transpired between Maul and Qi'ra on Dathomir, and I think it would be amazing to experience the first time Han Solo met Jabba the Hutt. I think there's a lot of potential for a great story. I've even gone as far as to think about what Qi'ra might wear so I looked to her current wardrobe for inspiration and this is what I came up with.
Qi'ra is a fashion icon in the Star Wars universe. Her dramatic silhouettes are all thanks to capes, dresses, skirts, and oversized jackets that are all within the same color scheme consisting of blacks, reds, greys, and tans. Classy, right? She also accessorizes beautifully with statement necklaces, rings, and eye-catching belts. I took all this into consideration while piecing this look together.
The necklace I picked out is a toned-down version of the Crimson Dawn symbol necklace both she and Maul wear. I feel like having a slightly more subtle option would benefit her. The strappy black cami is inspired by the red and black top that she wears in the beginning of the film, the faux fur stole shawl is inspired by the brown fur shawl she wears when recruiting Lando Calrissian for their mission, and the skirt is similar to one we see her wear in the film as well. As for my red sunglasses and open-toe pumps, I thought they would be a fun touch since her style is quite modern with a space-esque twist. I also wondered what Qi'ra would do if she happened upon a Sith Holocron, it might be unlikely that we'd see one of these devices in the story but I liked the idea of it.
