Style Wars: Baby Yoda

Style Wars: Baby Yoda | Anakin and His Angel

Style Wars is an original quarterly series that is a combination of both Jenmarie and Mollie's two favorite passions - Star Wars and fashion. Together they style Star Wars outfits based off of the same fashion piece. Their mission for this series is to show off how different fangirls envision outfitting Star Wars clothes in their own unique way. Instead of comparing who wore it best, they want to celebrate the different ways Star Wars pieces can be worn.

Style Wars: Baby Yoda | Anakin and His Angel

Mollie Damon of Star Wars Explained and I decided to take another break after our last Style Wars segment back in March which was posted right before quarantine. But we are excited to be back and to be featuring one of our favorite characters from Star Wars, Baby Yoda, in our outfits today! Did you know today is exactly one month until the Season 2 premiere of The Mandalorian on Disney+? We cannot wait to see what happens next and we wanted to celebrate by styling this adorable new t-shirt that can be found in the Juniors department at Target or online here. Continue reading below to learn more about how we styled it and what sizes we're wearing.

WHAT JENMARIE WORE
Baby Yoda T-shirt: Target
Skirt: Kohl's | Similar
Headband: Forever 21 | Similar
Mosaic Coin Necklace: Gorjana
Belt: Taken from my Rey dress from Her Universe
Franco Sarto "Gili" Sandal: eBay

The inspiration behind this outfit was Batuu. Of course it was, right? I just miss Galaxy's Edge so much! I'm typically a size X-Small, but since this t-shirt is more of a cropped style from the Juniors department, I chose to go with a Small. It's my new favorite Baby Yoda shirt because I love the expression on his face! The skirt is what definitely gives the outfit the Batuu vibes. This is a piece I've had since before I was married which was many years ago. Do you ever keep certain pieces for their uniqueness? I definitely do and I'm glad I kept this one because it's unlike any other skirt I've come across before and it's super comfortable! I also wore several accessories including a braided headband, a gold necklace, a belt and a pair of sandals.

WHAT MOLLIE WORE
Baby Yoda T-shirt: Target
Leggings: LuLuLemon
Cardigan: Abercrombie & Fitch
Beanie: Target
Boots: UGG

Style Wars: Quarantine edition! I don't know about everyone else but I've been wearing mostly sweatpants and leggings and soft comfortable shirts for the most part since this pandemic started. I try to dress it up a bit if I am going to be on a zoom call or meeting when I have to be on camera (from the waist up) and this is usually what it looks like. The weather is starting to get colder here on the east coast so I paired this adorable baby Yoda shirt (I'm wearing a size Medium) with a camel oversized cardigan and knit beanie - loving the warm browns for fall! I have about 100 pairs of leggings but my most comfortable pair are from lululemon. Finally, if my feet get cold or if I go out to check the mail, my most comfortable shoes for the fall and winter are my Ugg boots. Accessories include snacks, plushies and re-watching Season 1 of The Mandalorian (and shielding the eyes of the plushies during that one punching scene).
