Star Wars OOTD: Princess Leia does Halloween

Star Wars OOTD: Princess Leia does Halloween | Anakin and His Angel"Aren't you a little short on Halloween candy?"

We had another intense heat wave this week in Southern California which has prolonged me from doing full photoshoots outside (having allergies doesn't help either). So, I got creative indoors (something I've been doing a lot of over the last several months), grabbed my Samsung Galaxy 9+, and curated a modern-day Princess Leia outfit suitable for a fun Halloween night. I even re-created an iconic scene from A New Hope (seen above). It may be corny, but I don't even care because I made myself laugh over it. I hope that this inspires you to get creative doing the things that you enjoy in your own space. Just have fun with it!

My favorite aspects of Halloween, besides the fashion and dressing up parts obviously, are the foods and treats. I actually LOVE candy corn so much and anything that is made with the candy corn color scheme in mind. Everything else doesn't really interest me because I'm not a fan of "scary". But it doesn't matter to me because I fully enjoy the parts that I do like about it. I definitely miss going to Disneyland at this time of the year too!

I found this adorable winking Pumpkin sweatshirt in the juniors department at Target thanks to my friend Ash from Making Your Own Magic. It's just really playful and also super comfortable! I thought it'd be fun to style it over a white dress since Princess Leia has a few iconic all-white looks. I layered the outfit with a metallic moto jacket because Leia can be extra when she wants to. I found this piece a couple of months ago for around $15 during a Nordstrom Rack sale. It's amazing! Since I was going for a modern-day Princess Leia approach, I chose to pull back just small sections of my hair to create mini side buns and leave the rest hanging down. I have a lot of layers right now so it made for a messy look but I think it kind of fits the whole vibe of this ensemble. You can find everything I'm wearing linked below!
