A longstanding Wookiee tradition, Life Day celebrates the values and tenets of Wookiee culture, including family, joy, and harmony. While Life Day is a celebration traditionally held at the Tree of Life on Kashyyyk and observed by extended Wookiee families, Wookiees throughout the galaxy still mark the day.

This was the fourth Life Day celebration on Batuu West, and even though it was a shorter trip due to the weather (I get cold easily), we had a wonderful time seeing friends, enjoying good food, and checking out the new merchandise. I'm excited to share our day with you!
Please be warned that this post is photo heavy! No, seriously. There's almost 50 of them. Grab some coffee, tea or blue milk!
Jason bounded as Han Solo while I styled a Kelnacca (The Acolyte) look. We might have been mistaken for Han and Chewie once or twice, but, that's ok, Chewie and Kelnacca definitely would've been friends. Find links to what we're wearing below!

We love seeing our friends on Batuu! Featured about are our good friends Bryan, Ash, and little Alice, Neel and his family, and Tracie. No, we didn't coordinate Wookiee bounds but we were so excited about it, we had to take photos together! I think this is a great example of how you can style different bounds of the same species. It's inspiring seeing our ensembles side by side!
The joy on my face that Jason captured when I saw Chewbacca for the first time that day is as if it were my first time seeing him there EVER. But you all know, I've been fortunate enough to see him many times. I just truly love Star Wars so much. Everytime I visit Batuu is the best time!
Jason tried the new Life Day Cheese Branch with Kat Saka's Secret Sauce at Kat Saka's Kettle. It's a croissant dough mixed with cream cheese, parmesan, and cheddar that comes with spicy alfredo dipping sauce. Since I am gluten and dairy-free, I couldn't try it to give you my review but Jason did let me know his thoughts! He said the bread is a vessel to intake the sauce, which is amazing. He said the bread is on the harder size and that there wasn't much flavor. I think it's safe to say he'll be sticking to the Garlic Cheesy Pretzel Bread from Maurice's Treats in Fantasyland.
For lunch, we went to Docking Bay 7. I can't stop ordering the Endorian Roasted Chicken Salad, especially since it's GF and DF! It's a very generous dish of marinated chicken, mixed Greens, roasted seasonal vegetables, pumpkin Seeds, and green curry ranch. It's so flavorful, I could honestly go for another right now! If you're like me and not a curry person, don't worry. It's nothing like it! Jason tried the updated version of the Endorian Fried Chicken Tip-Yip and said it was really good! He preferred this over the original. It's a very decent portion of crispy chicken, roasted pepper mash, country gravy, and charred broccolini.
Dok Ondar's Den of Antiquities was poppin' with new merchandise including the LE Ren Legacy Lightsaber Collector's Box ($300 online, $325 on Batuu) along with the coordinating helmet of Ren. Both pieces look spectacular in person! I love that the mirrored helmet allows the person wearing it to see through the mask while remaining hidden from the rest of the galaxy. What a fantastic feature!
The LE Secrets of the Holocrons case sold out super quickly on the Disney Store website but it was still available for $375 on Batuu West. This set comes with the extremely coveted black kyber crystal.
Commander Gree had a moment with the new 41st Legion Clone Commander Gree Voice-Changing Helmet ($99.99) and Poseable Figure ($29.99). The Clone love is strong!
This year's Life Day artwork is simply darling! I didn't spot the traditional collector's pin but our friend had it and was kind enough to let me photograph it. This pin is $19.99 and sold out on the Disney Store website.
The Chewbacca Life Day Popcorn bucket is so creative! I spotted it at Kat Sakka's Kettle and at one of the Droid Carts. It can be filled with popcorn or other snacks depending on where you purchase it from. I believe it was $35.75.
NUBS! I picked this adorable new plush at the Toydarion Maker shop immediately. He is $22.99 and worth every penny.
Over at the Jewels of Bith, there was a Life Day Hoodie ($54.99) and an Ornament ($29.99). I also spotted a Wookiee pin ($17.99). I don't know when exactly it was released but it fit the theme of the day!
I spoke with a CM who was wearing a really cute Orb necklace. She said a Wookiee gave it to her years ago. It inspired me to make my own Orb necklace sometime! I also shared a cute moment with little Alice with our matching Orbs. She was having such a fun time!
We didn't stay for any of the nighttime festivities but we had such a great time regardless! We also got a photo with the best Christmas tree ever on Main St, and, of course, I had to take a photo with The Acolyte poster at Downtown Disney!
