May the 4th be with you!
I am super excited to reveal our new Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati bounds (Ahsoka Series) that we wore to Star Wars Nite, an After Dark event at Disneyland, on May 1st. I will also walk you through everything we did that night, along with providing links to what we wore to create our bounds.
I'm honestly so proud of how both of our bounds turned out, and how perfectly they mimic the costumes. There are a couple of details I'd like to add on later, but I'm extremely happy with it! One of my favorite aspects of this bound is the belt because it has little sun-like symbols like the one on Shin’s belt. I also really love the wig I found because the Padawan braid is part of it!

This is OBVIOUSLY my new favorite bound I've styled for Jason. He kills the look! Jason took part by cutting a green kyber crystal in half and gluing it to his belt. Later, he plans to add some gold detailing to the crystal. He also researched temporary hair colors and found something that works well and washes out easily! It took him two hours to do his hair and beard, but it was worth it!

We saw Luke Skywalker the first day he arrived on planet, but we didn't get a photo with him. I thought it was pretty cool that our first interactions with him were as Baylan and Shin! He implied that there was hope for us still *smirks*.
This new nightly projection show on Batuu was first introduced for Season of the Force at Disneyland. We hadn't had the chance to see it yet, so we thought making it part of our Star Wars Nite agenda would be perfect! There are two shows (9pm and 12:30pm). We both thought it was beautiful!
Right after this one, there is another show called "A Gathering of the Resistance with Rey," which includes audience participation. I wasn't close enough to get photos of the characters involved, but it did make for some awesome lightsaber and nighttime shots!
I had previously seen photos that fans had shared online of the inside of Star Wars Launch Bay in Tomorrowland, thinking that it was open for freely walking around in. While it is being utilized for the event, it's only to meet characters inside, so you'll be in line the entire time. It was neat to be there again, but it was also sad to see what's been removed and what's been sitting there collecting dust.
We waited about one hour to meet Darth Vader. It was probably one of the longest lines of the night, but it was worth it! Darth Vader is my favorite character, and we thought it would be cool to take a photo with him in our new bounds. Besides Star Wars Nite, fans can typically only meet the Dark Lord of the Sith if they're Disney Visa card holders. I think this is another reason why his line was so long.
The OG Stormtroopers were walking around entertaining guests as they waited in line, which was awesome! They interacted with us, but they didn't speak like the First Order Stormtroopers on Batuu.
This was the only exclusive food item that we purchased at the event. Jason is a BIG fan of the cheesy bread at Maurice's Treats located at the Fantasy Faire Snack Wagon, so he opted to try the upgraded version! He said it was tasty but that he preferred the original.
We got to see our friend Natalie who makes an amazing Qi'ra! We also spoke with many other fans throughout the night and got photos with some of them, including another Baylan, Shin (who flew in all the way from Japan!), and you guessed it, THRAWN himself!
There is Rebels-themed character meet-and-greet experience in Tomorrowland in the room next to Star Tours (which is most often used as a queue for the ride), where you could meet Hera Syndulla or Sabine Wren, and Chopper. Hera and Sabine swap places throughout the night. As soon as Sabine walked out, she glared at me. She wasn't expecting to see Shin back so soon! We waited about 40 minutes to meet them!
Surprisingly, we only met a couple of characters during the event, usually we get to see way more! The time went by super quickly, but we enjoyed ourselves! Please stay tuned for a video recap of the night on my Instagram as well as some other fun videos.
Thanks to my friends Natalie for helping with some of these photos, and to Drew for the lightsaber edits.
