A new threat rises in the galaxy, and Sig Greebling and Darth Dev must combine their powers of Force Building and Sith Breaking to stop it. Alongside Jedi Bob, Yesi Scala, and Servo, they will journey into the deepest corners of LEGO Star Wars lore, uncovering pieces of all the galaxies that have come before.
LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy - Pieces of the Past, out now on Disney+, is even more action-packed and witty than the first! I loved the new characters and unique references to the Star Wars stories we love. I found myself endlessly gasping and laughing throughout the series. Well done, Dan Hernandez, and Benji Samit (Writers and Executive Producers), Chris Buckley (Director), and to all the cast and crew!
There are four episodes, each running at about twenty-five minutes. I’d recommend watching two at a time or all four at once for the best viewing experience. The last two episodes are my personal favorites!
*PLEASE BEWARE OF SPOILERS*
1) Servo, the GONK droid, was my favorite “new” character in the last series, so I’m happy he returned! There’s a hilarious moment when he’s sleeping, where instead of casually snoring, he audibly says “Snore noise”. I wouldn't be able to sleep in the same room as him, that's for sure. I also loved when he meets a probe droid named Viper, whom he was instantly smitten with. There were definitely some Wall-E and Eve vibes between them.
2) The last series ended introducing The Landalorian and Grogu. They’re back for some bounty hunting fun in this one! When the main characters met Grogu, they exclaimed, “We found a baby Yoda!” as they gushed over him. I felt so seen.
3) Asajj Ventress introduced herself and her clan to Darth Dev as the “Day Sisters”. I had food in my mouth at this point and almost lost it! It’s such a simple but effective What if? I love that they rode on Rancors to get around the planet Dathomir. I'm sure Legends fans are celebrating over this detail.
4) Ever wondered what Cloud City would look like if it were covered in snow? It’s called Snow City, and it’s mesmerizing! Hoth is one of my favorite planets, so I’m obsessed with this concept. I wish we could’ve spent more time there, mainly because Darth Maul and Kuiil were having a conversation that included singing and multiple “This is the way” references. Darth Maul in snow gear was iconic!
5) If you didn't know, the multi-talented Ashley Eckstein returned to voice Ahsoka Tano in this series. She is a BrickHeadz figure and she is so adorable and has several amazing scenes! I loved when she rode the Droideka! If you’re wondering if I got emotional when her theme music played, I absolutely did.
6) The Skywalker family is together again! Greedo even proposes to Leia, which Luke witnesses and responds with, “For once, nothing tragic is going to happen to the Skywalker family.” Wouldn’t that be nice? Jedi Vader and “the great love of his life”, Pirate Queen Amidala met again on Naboo (btw, LEGO Naboo is STUNNING) on her fancy sail barge. I’m not the only one who thinks this should be an actual LEGO set, right? Although there was tension between the star-crossed lovers at first, they end in a warm embrace alongside their twins, which literally melted my heart. I loved every single second that featured the Skywalkers!
7) The Snoke Pit probably made me laugh the hardest. It was brilliant and actually made sense considering how many times he was cloned, poor guy. Luke asking Pirate Queen Amidala who Snoke is and her responding with, "It doesn't even really matter." had me rolling! And I’m a huge fan of The Rise of Skywalker, by the way.
8) K-2SO is not the droid we know him to be in this series! One of the many Battle Droids he’s in charge of responds to him at one point saying, “Roger Roger, meanie.” I just feel like I need a sticker of that quote or something.
9) For a brief moment, we see Dark Rey piloting the Millennium Falcon, and I loved that for her. I still can’t believe we got more Dark Rey content after her small but chilling scene in The Rise of Skywalker. Seeing her weilding her double-bladed lightsaber against The Landalorian and the Darksaber was pretty awesome too!
10) There is a hilarious scene where many of the characters are running for their lives, including Darth Jar Jar, who has acquired Darth Maul’s spider legs, and he’s shown running, holding Jabba on his back. It’s so random! Another great Jabba the Hutt moment was watching him wield two green lightsabers. What a visual that was! Imagine that in live-action!
11) Neel! Yes, Neel from Skeleton Crew can be spotted twice briefly in the last episode. I was so surprised! One of the times he was with Omega and I can't believe I never imagined what the two of them meeting would be like. They'd instantly be friends!
12) Another brief but heart-warming moment was seeing Hera, Sabine, and Ezra, also in BrickHeadz form. Is this a sign that Star Wars: Rebels Brickheadz are on the horizon? I hope so!
I truly could go on, and on! But, I'd love to know if you've watched it yet. What characters or moments were your favorite? You can get in touch with me by leaving a comment below or following me on my social media channels: Instagram, X, Threads or Bluesky.
