Fourteen-year-old me would never have believed that her blog, Anakin and His Angel, would one day turn twenty-five. She would be wide-eyed if I told her she'd have the privilege of attending Star Wars premieres and special events, that there would one day be more than just Star Wars t-shirts she could wear, and that she'd have the opportunity to work with the brands that create them (shout out to Her Universe and Heroes & Villains with whom I get to collaborate with regularly). She would be so overjoyed to know that some of her closest friends were people she met in the Star Wars online community, and she would surely have fainted if I told her she got to meet stars like Hayden Christensen or even the President of Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kennedy herself. What a wild ride of so many dreams coming true!
I've always been SO grateful. I've put in endless hours into this blog and my social media channels, but without you cheering me on and supporting me, none of this would've been possible. I can't thank you all enough, my husband, my family, friends, and followers, for being here and celebrating Star Wars with me. I hope I inspire you to love whatever you love about Star Wars proudly and passionately. Life is too short not to enjoy things.
In the beginning, I wasn't known as Jenmarie, but rather JediJen. So, I wanted to style a Jedi look for today. I'm wearing the Obi-Wan Kenobi Dress c/o Her Universe. I made it my own by layering over a child-sized Yoda robe, which I found for $3 last year at Company D (originally $129.99 at Galaxy's Edge). For accessories, I wore my Po-Zu Rey boots, tights, and a cream-colored headband. I've always wanted to see a pink lightsaber in live-action Star Wars, and I love the way it turned out (thank you, Drew). I'm using this simple lightsaber from Amazon that comes with two hilts, and two blades with 15 different RGB colors. I wrapped a piece of fabric and multiple different colored ribbons that matched my outfit around the hilt for a fun feminine touch.
vvThank you for reading, and please look for a special giveaway to celebrate the occasion on my Instagram soon!
