Star Wars ComLINKS: Go Rogue

Welcome to the fourteenth Star Wars ComLINKS! Star Wars ComLINKS is the very first monthly link up centered around a galaxy far, far away. The purpose of this link up is to inspire fans to write/talk about various topics (which are assigned each month) pertaining to our favorite fandom. (Please excuse the obvious phone app I used to edit these photos. My computer hates me right now and I am without Photoshop at the moment.)

My Rogue Friday was quite eventful! I was sure to dress for the occasion and wore all Funko fashion pieces that I received from previous Smuggler's Bounty boxes. My mom and sister also sported Star Wars shirts and met me at Target shortly before it opened. There were other people there but not enough for me to worry about getting the Jyn Erso Target Exclusive I wanted. The doors opened and there to greet us were a pair of Death Troopers and I was sure to announce, "I need a photo with them afterwards!". There was no time to waste! Everyone dashed towards the toy section like there was no tomorrow. I was baffled at the limited amount of Pops and quickly grabbed the Jyn Exclusive and a Chirrut Imwe. Target surprisingly didn't even have the full line of figures but I knew I'd be able to acquire the rest of the characters I wanted at Hot Topic. Before we headed out we each got a Star Wars Rebels kids drink that we found during checking out. They were a MUST!

At Hot Topic I was able to find Director Orson Krennic and Maz Kanata who'm I hadn't added to my collection yet. I also picked up a Death Trooper for my nephew. I was going to get myself one as well then remembered my favorite Death Trooper design would be included in the November Smuggler's Bounty box. This is what a budget and limited space equals out to folks, and one of the reasons why I'm the kind of collector that only buys the Pops I love most.

Last but not least, we headed to Gamestop where I had a couple of Darth Vader Exclusives on hold for my sister and I. He is definitely the best Vader I own! I just love the red eyes.

My mom and sister also picked up some things but all I had on my list for the day were these specific Pops (though I have yet to acquire the Walgreens Exclusive Scarif Stormtrooper). Since the movie isn't out yet, I do want to be careful as to which merchandise I get. I definitely prefer to know more about the characters before I continue to invest in more items. Though, let's be real. You can never go wrong with Vader and the Death Troopers. Am I right?

Tell me, what did you get on Rogue Friday?

  2. Congratulations on your finds! I keep trying to resist the pull of the Funkos...but they are so adorable. I have a lil' Thor (who I think needs an Iron Man buddy) and a lil' Threepio my students got me (who probably needs a pal too.
