I love being an Annual Passholder. I grew up watching Disney movies, singing Disney songs every day and collecting my favorite Disney things so going to Disneyland with my family and friends has always been a magical experience for me. Earlier this week my sister and I went to finally check out the newly opened Pixar Pier! I personally found it very enjoyable and appreciate the fact that they added more of a Disney vibe to this particular area of Disneyland California Adventure. I've always talked about how I wish there were more Disney elements in this park so I was excited about this renovation!

On this day I didn't bring my DSLR with me so my sister helped me capture our adventures with our phones and if you ask me, they turned out pretty good. Grab a cup of coffee or tea because this is a long one my friends!

First off, let's talk about what I wore! I typically like to dress comfortably when making a Disney trip. On this day I opted for a pair of American Eagle jeans, a loose fitted T-shirt by the brand A New Day from Target, my favorite Sanuk sandals, my one-of-a-kind Dark Side TIE Fighter Minnie Ears made for me by my mom, my favorite Loungefly backpack from Hot Topic along with an adorable Porg plush keychain by Funko and a Dark Side lanyard by BioWorld which was sent to me courtesy of Spencers. I've never worn a lanyard to hold my Pass before and actually liked it! I didn't have to reach into my backpack as much throughout the day which is always a plus. It was a hot day but the loose top and having my hair pushed back from the Minnie Ears definitely helped! As it got a bit cooler I threw my new Spirit Jersey on. I picked this up a couple of months ago and it's one of my favorite Disneyland purchases ever! I rarely buy apparel from the parks because it's so expensive but I instantly fell in love with the style, fit and the fact that it says Disneyland in big bold letters on the back. It's super comfortable and definitely worth the $59.99 (though as a Passholder I got 20% off). It's also available on the Shop Disney website if you're interested. I'd also highly suggest searching "Spirit Jersey" in the search bar to see all the different colors it's available in and the various styles too!

The first thing we did was stand in a rather long line at Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats. I had seen so many people on Instagram speak very highly about their Pixar Pier Frosty Parfait which is a non-dairy Lemon Soft-serve with Blue Raspberry Swirl. It was so incredibly tasty and I personally think it lived up to the hype. It was very hot outside so mine tilted to the side before I could get a decent photo of it. Oh, and it's also true that it will leave your mouth a green-ish blue color though I have no photo to prove it ;)

Next up we visited the Games of Pixar Pier which are all super adorable! Each game costs $4 to play with a space designated to purchase how ever many games you want on a playing card. My sister and I both wanted to play La Luna Star Catcher so I loaded my playing card with $8 using my debit card to pay for two games. I also saw on Instagram that everyone who plays La Luna Star Catcher is a winner and the prizes are all plushies from the Pixar short (which I have actually never seen). Obviously I had to play if I could get a plush! The game involves using a net to catch a floating star which reveals the color of the prize you won. My sister and I both got the green tier which allows you to choose from different star and moon plushies. Aren't they cute?

There is a fun little corner in front of the Silly Symphony Swings especially for Passholders that allows you to take a photo using fun props from a Pixar movie in front of a large backdrop. This time we went it was Incredibles 2 themed. The time before it was Toy Story themed! If you don't want to take photos you can opt out and go through for a free sheet of two stickers. I enjoy little perks like these!

There are also two other photo op areas in the Hollywood Studios area of the park where you can take photos that make you look like you're flying away with the balloons from Up or like you have Buzz Lightyear's wings!

Most of the time we make a stop at Elias & Company for the latest Disney fashions. I spotted several new tees and tanks for men and women by the brand Neff that were all very vibrant! Later on I also saw these same styles at The Star Trader inside Disneyland.

These were the highlights of my time at Pixar Pier but there is also so much more to enjoy including new restaurants, new snack carts and shops all creatively Pixar themed of course! As I try new things I will definitely be sharing my experiences with you.

We also went to Disneyland and made our way over to the Donut Cart (if you're facing the castle from Main St. it's located off to the left in front of Fantasy Faire). I had heard the AMAZING Dole Whip donuts were back and expected to stand in a long line to purchase one like I did the first time I went. Surprisingly we walked right up and bought one! We were informed it would only be available a few more days and would not be coming back. I can't understand why the decision would be made to not keep them around after how popular they've been. I guess it just makes them extra special! If you're curious, it's a glazed donut that is filled with pineapple flavored filling and bits of pineapple topped with a thin layer of pineapple flavored icing and toasted marshmallow meringue. It is SO good although I do scoop off a good chunk of the marshmallow meringue so I'm able to taste everything.

Tarzan's Treehouse is a fun little adventure when it's not too hot out (there's a lot of stairs). The music, sound effects and props all make you feel like you've stepped into the movie. It's nice going through it every so often!

If you're a Star Wars fan, pin collector, and love Halloween you'll be excited to know that I spotted two new pins at The Star Trader. The C-3PO and R2-D2 set is $14.99 and the Yoda pin is $12.99. While browsing around I also noticed some new women's fashion which included a top with a cute cut-out that has Jabba's Palace on it ($36.99) and a pink tank with Darth Vader and several Stormtroopers on either side ($32.99).

Star Wars Launch Bay is a must for any Star Wars fan! One of my favorite things about it are the character meet and greets. We chose to visit Kylo Ren and Darth Vader but Chewbacca and Rey are also on the list of characters to encounter. I think it's pretty clear what side we're on.

For dinner we ate at one of our favorite places to get a cheeseburger at Disneyland, the Galactic Grill! I usually order the Cheeseburger meal or the Chopped Salad which is really good (it's the dressing that makes it extra special)! I always like coming here to watch the Jedi Training show while eating though it's currently a Pixar show until September 3rd in celebration of Pixar Fest.

I will end this post with a shot of Galaxy's Edge which I took along the side of the Hungry Bear Restaurant. I gasped upon the sight of it as the new building truly looked like something out of Star Wars. It reminded me of the Theed Royal Palace! I can't believe it's real and will probably have a difficult time believing I'm really there once the park opens. Next Summer can't come soon enough!
