What I Wore

Padmé Sweatshirt: Her Universe
Ne(x)t Level Stretch High-Waisted Jegging: American Eagle
A New Day Heels: Target

The Sisters of the Force collection by Her Universe seemed to have sold faster than any other collection released both online and at Star Wars Celebration Chicago. There are characters represented in these pieces that mean a great deal to fangirls so it's not hard to believe how incredibly successful it was. Fortunately re-stocks are being worked on for some of these pieces. The Padmé Amidala Hoodie is currently only available in size XL but it is one of the pieces on the list that will be re-stocked in June (thanks to Super Space Shick for the tip), perfect for those chilly Summer nights!

The Lake Retreat Gown that Padmé wears in Attack of the Clones is my absolute favorite outfit she wears in all of the films. Her Universe also made their own version of the gown which you can see here that I'm proud to say I also own and will be featuring here soon. But I'm really happy to be able to have a casual option to wear in his really soft hoodie! I love that it clearly reads "Padmé" on the front along with the gorgeous Naboo emblem. The hoodie also has matching draw strings and pockets which definitely add to the comfort factor. I didn't want to take away from the gorgeous colors at all so I wore black jeggings and added a dash of more color with my purple heels that I clearly can't stop wearing. Heels can go with anything my friends, even hoodies!

As for my hair, I wanted to try something different and mimic Padme's hairstyle in a modern way that looked simpler and effortless. All I did was place a soft, stretchy headband on top of my head and took small sections of my hair and folded it around the headband until I got the desired look. After lots of tucking around I placed about eight bobby pins to hold it in place. It's so easy to do, it's cute and it keeps your hair out of your face!

What do you think of this look? Did you also pick up this Padmé hoodie? Let me know in a comment below!

I would also like to apologize for the way the lighting in the full body shots turned out. We didn't realize the sun was that much of an issue until after we were home and the photos were uploaded. I did the best I could in editing. Unfortunately with our current schedules we didn't have time to re-take these and with other content I have scheduled for the blog I didn't have much choice but to use them.
