Star Wars Bound: Count Dooku

Star Wars Bound: Count Dooku | Anakin and His Angel

“The Sith control everything, you just don’t know it!”
- Count Dooku, The Clone Wars S4:EP4

After purchasing Count Dooku's legacy lightsaber late last year, it inspired me to style a bound of the character. Dooku's lightsaber is one of the most unique hilts in Star Wars. It's very bold and majestic looking, much like his personality and his overall style. I kept those keywords in mind while styling this look. I even took my "bounding" up a notch by purchasing my very first wig! I knew that having white hair would really bring this outfit to life and I couldn't be happier with the results. I am so excited to be revealing this project to you all today!

I have my friend Mark Edwards, an LA based photographer, to thank for these unbelievable photos. I've known Mark for a couple of years now but we've only ever followed each other along our creative journeys on Instagram. We previously discussed doing a shoot at Galaxy's Edge before Disneyland closed their doors and finally collaborated for the first time this month. Mark joined me in the planning aspects of the photoshoot and even went back and watched some Count Dooku montages from The Clone Wars for inspiration. I was impressed! It was an absolute blast working with him. Mark is undeniably talented and extremely passionate about his work. I love how he creates a comfortable, fun, and positive atmosphere during his shoots. I highly recommend working with him if you haven't before! You can find his website here where you can learn more about Mark, view his various portfolios, and read through the safety precautions he's taking during this time. You can also follow Mark on Instagram!

The wig I'm wearing is from Amazon and believe it or not, it's under $20! It's heat resistant which is great for styling and it comes in many different colors. I also found the hooded brown poncho and brooch lapel pin buckle with chains from Amazon. Both of these pieces come in various colors and styles. The poncho would be great for multiple different Star Wars looks or even a Batuu bound! I paired these pieces with black faux leather leggings for that Dark Side vibe as well as black ankle boots, both of which are from Target. As you can see, it doesn't always take a lot of pieces to curate a look that resemble a fictional character and a lot of times you may even have some of the pieces you need in your closet. You can find everything I'm wearing linked below!

WHAT I WORE:

Brooch w/Chains: Amazon

Wig cap: Amazon
Faux Leather Leggings: Target (Plus Size)
Open Toe Pumps: Target
Dooku's Lightsaber: Now available at the Trading Post located at Downtown Disney

    1. Thank you so much! I haven't read it, but there's a canon book called "Dooku: Jedi Lost" which takes place before we meet his character in AOTC. It might be something for you to look into!
