Boba Fett (Re-Armored) Electronic Helmet Review

Boba Fett (Re-Armored) Electronic Helmet Review | Anakin and His Angel

Recently, the Star Trader shop at Disneyland had the new Black Series Boba Fett (Re-Armored) Electronic Helmet by Hasbro in stock. I tried it on, and my husband and I instantly knew it was coming home with us! This is the "clean" Boba Fett helmet we see him wear in The Mandalorian. It's super fresh looking with a lot less weathering than what we're used to seeing Boba wear. It honestly has grown on me overtime.

You can currently pre-order this helmet for $124.99 from Entertainment Earth. It is due to be shipped in January! You can also enter to win one that I'm giving away over on my Instagram.

For $119.99 (Magic Key discounts DO apply), you really can't go wrong with this helmet! It's my first helmet purchase from Hasbro and I'm impressed with it! Unfortunately, the instructions only consist of black and white photos, so I had to watch videos on how exactly to insert the batteries (pictured above) and how to remove the inner head support to adjust it so that it would fit correctly (also pictured above). While inserting and removing the pieces, you get the feeling that you're going to break something due to the amount of pressure that is necessary. I found that doing it firmly but slowly worked best!

The only piece that you'll need to attach to the helmet is the antenna, otherwise there's no other assembly required. The HUD piece is illuminated with LEDs once activated, and although it doesn't quite line up with where you can see it through the helmet, it is a cool feature!

The helmet requires one AA battery at 1.5 volts. Be advised, many rechargeable AA batteries may not work, as they tend to hold only 1.3 volts of charge. In fact, after these failed to activate the helmet features, we tried a standard AA battery that tested at 1.47 volts and even that did not work. Only after putting in a fresh battery, reading 1.5 volts, did the helmet function properly.

I find this helmet to be a comfortable fit (if it helps, the circumference of my head is 29.94 centimeters). It's roomy inside but it can get a little warm after wearing it for sometime. After adjusting the head support, I was able to see perfectly. I actually wrote a portion of this post with it on, believe it or not! My husband Jason found the helmet to be looser on him because of his narrow face but it's nothing that some padding couldn't fix.

I definitely see us adding more Star Wars helmets by Hasbro to our collection in the future!
