The Mandalorian Season 3 Premiere

The Mandalorian Season 3 Premiere | Anakin and His Angel

One of my dreams came true last night. I attended my very first Star Wars premiere! I cannot thank Lucasfilm enough for inviting me to the Season 3 premiere of The Mandalorian which was held at the El Capitan theater in Hollywood, California. I was 14 years old when I started this blog back in November 2000, and I never imagined that I would actually attend a Star Wars event like this one day. This night meant the absolute galaxy to me, and I will never forget it! I'm truly so thankful.

I recently styled a Mando bound, which you can see more of here if you missed it, and I thought it would be a great option to wear to the premiere! I'm so glad that I had the perfect opportunity to wear it again.

Guests were greeted with special snacks to enjoy while watching The Mandalorian Season 3 including The Mandalorian-themed GoGurt, Eggo waffles, and ice cream with sprinkles! It was such a fun surprise! I will forever be obsessed with the silver star sprinkles.

On the stage, they had Mando's N1 Starfighter set up, and it looked gorgeous! Guests were able to get their photos with it, which was such a treat. There were also other photo-op opportunities including some of the amazing posters created for Season 3.

Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni thanked fans for being there to celebrate the new Season. Director Rick Famuyiwa, Pedro Pascal, and Katee Sackhoff were also brought on stage. There were so many other actors and creators there as well sitting amongst the crowd including Lateef Crowder, Brendan Wayne, Giancarlo Esposito, Carl Weathers, Rosario Dawson, Bill Burr, Emily Swallow, Amy Sedaris, Deborah Chow, Doug Chiang, Matthew Wood, Seth Green, etc. Those are just the few that I can remember! It was absolutely surreal!

I am still pinching myself over the fact that I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Doug Chiang, Lateef Crowder, and Seth Green. They were all so kind!

At one point, I was outside and I felt someone brush against my shoulder. I turned around, and it was Rosario Dawson quickly passing by!!! I didn't get a photo, but I stood there a few seconds in complete shock that Ahsoka just touched me. The crazy thing is, my friend Wendy was sitting rather close to Rosario in the theater. She snapped a photo of her and sent it to me, and I immediately recognized myself in the background of the photo! So, that's my photo with Rosario everyone! My husband Jason wasn't able to attend, but on his way to pick me up, he saw Rosario and got a photo with her! I was so happy for him, tears instantly filled my eyes.

I had the chance to see multiple friends including Lillian who works for Lucasfilm. Her and I have been friends online for years so it was wonderful to finally get to meet her in person. I also saw my good friend Wendy from The Movie Couple, and Brandon and Jen who are both amazing cosplayers!

CHAPTER 17 & 18

Below you'll find some of my immediate spoiler-free thoughts.

We were shown the first two episodes, or rather Chapters 17 & 18, of The Mandalorian Season 3, and it kicked things off in an exciting way! It's true, that the first episode is much shorter than the first two premiere episodes of the last seasons but it's a great set-up. You get a good sense of where the characters are at in their journeys, and where the story is going but of course, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni like to keep us on our toes. You can never truly know what's going to happen next, and I love that.

I personally think that the tone of Season 1 and 2 felt very different from each other and likewise, I think that Season 3 also has its own feel. The story flows well, the action is exciting and suspenseful, and there are fantastic character highlight moments! You all just wait until you see Bo-Katan!

It was also wonderful to be reunited with Mando and Grogu again. Their relationship, to me, is one of the most beautiful in Star Wars. They appeared to have a even stronger connection in the first two episodes. They're quite the team!

I have to say, Grogu is as cute as ever! Fans will definitely be "aww'ing" over several moments.

Both episodes contain a few surprises that fans will absolutely love! In fact, I'm still thinking about them, and I can't wait to be able to discuss them with you all! I can still hear the cheers in the theater. Nothing beats watching Star Wars on the big screen with other fans!

I truly hope that you enjoy watching Chapter 17 today, tonight, or whenever you can sit down and watch it! But, please make it soon! This is the way.
