Style Wars: The Cuff Strikes Back!

Style Wars is an original quarterly series that is a combination of both Jenmarie and Savanna's two favorite passions - Star Wars and fashion. Together they will be styling Star Wars outfits based off of the same fashion piece. Their mission for this fashion series is to show off how different fangirls envision outfitting Star Wars clothes in their own unique way. Instead of comparing who wore it best, they want to celebrate the different ways Star Wars pieces can be worn.

Savanna and I instantly agreed that the Love and Madness TESB Opening Crawl Cuff would be the perfect accessory to style an outfit around for Style Wars. Prior to our meet up I asked my husband to capture the reactions of Savanna and myself when we saw each other in person for the first time, sort of like a couple's "first look" session on their wedding day as Savanna so perfectly put it. They truly reflect the joy we both felt and it's so nice to have these candid photos to look back on. We walked up to each other with open arms and several hugs as each of us got teary-eyed. We smiled, laughed and exclaimed over each other's outfits probably for several minutes. We loved that one went dark side and the other light side. One of the most fun things about Style Wars is not knowing how the other person is going to style their outfit so it's essentially a surprise for us too! After the shoot, the three of us hung out at Downtown Disney and it felt as if we were old friends catching up. What a special day!

WHAT I WORE

I felt a strong need to represent my favorite Sith Lord while wearing this cuff, so that's exactly what I did. I paired the best Darth Vader t-shirt ever from We Love Fine with a faux leather skirt I found on the sale rack for $15 at H&M. Some of the best deals that I pick up are found by looking through the sale racks. If you have the patience and time, there are treasures to be found my friends! A pair of heels, a clutch and some red lipstick sealed the deal for this outfit. I honestly would wear this ensemble any day as that's just part of my style. However, if you're the type of person to go for a more casual every day look than this would be the perfect example of something you could wear for date night or special occasion. You could also substitute the heels for sandals and the clutch for a regular bag like I did while we walked through Downtown Disney. Long walks in heels isn't always my thing ;)
