Style Wars: Endor Bound

Style Wars is an original quarterly series that is a combination of both Jenmarie and Savanna's two favorite passions - Star Wars and fashion. Together they will be styling Star Wars outfits based off of the same fashion piece. Their mission for this fashion series is to show off how different fangirls envision outfitting Star Wars clothes in their own unique way. Instead of comparing who wore it best, they want to celebrate the different ways Star Wars pieces can be worn.

There are many things that Savanna and I see eye to eye on and one of those things is comfort. This Her Universe t-shirt featuring our favorite little Ewok is so soft you'd think you're wearing a night shirt if it wasn't for the lovely emerald green trim that gives the top a polished look. Ashley Eckstein, the creator of the brand made especially for geeky females, provides fans with the best Star Wars fashion that is eye catching and easy to wear! Though some fans may be bothered by the fact that the shirt reads "Nub Nub!" instead of "Yub Nub!" it's still super cute and if you want, you can hide the text by wearing it tucked into a skirt or even a pair of high wasted jeans like Savanna did. If you didn't already know, once Savanna and I choose an item that we want to style neither of us tell each other what we're wearing until the day of the shoot which makes it extra fun for us. Even though we both went for more of an everyday look we still styled the shirt very differently and that is what we love about this series - showing you how even two people who have similar tastes can wear the same thing completely different. We hope it inspires you!

We thought it would be fitting to take our photos at Disneyland right near the entrance of Star Wars Land because in Savanna's words, "It looks wilderness-e". As cheesy at it may sound my inspiration behind this outfit was "A Day at Disneyland". I went for casual and comfortable by pairing my shirt with stretchy jeggings and shoes made of canvas and yoga mat. Both of these are new purchases that I'm really happy with. The jeans at American Eagle come in short which is the perfect length on me. As for the shoes, I love that the upper is made of fabric so that nothing digs into my feet. I'm still in the process of breaking them in but so far, so good! My accessories included a denim choker, my growing stack of Alex and Ani bracelets and the backpack that I can't stop wearing featuring baby Star Wars characters. I've been wearing chokers non stop lately and even though my top is a ringer tee I liked the double striped look and felt it added a little extra femininity to my outfit. The great thing is, I totally see myself wearing exactly this while roaming around Endor. It's such a beautiful place full of several fuzzy friends to make.
