Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - My Last Visit Before Self-Quarantine

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - My Last Visit Before Self-Quarantine | Anakin and His Angel

Life happens so quickly and it can change drastically in just a moment. I never expected to not be able to do many of the things that I'm used to doing on a day-to-day or even a week-to-week basis but because of the Coronavirus, everyone's life has changed in some way or another. Families and friends are kept apart, jobs have been lost, schools are shut down, and some places that were once quite lively with people are closed indefinitely. While there are many more important things in life than going to Disneyland, I still miss it, specifically Galaxy's Edge. It's a very special place that brings people together and makes dreams come true for Star Wars fans. As an Annual Passholder, I miss being able to go to Galaxy's Edge and take photos, make reports on stock updates or just getting a Blue Milk and walking around. Honestly, I miss everything about it, and I definitely had no idea that the last time I was there would be the last for a while (Disneyland currently doesn't have an opening date). So, today I wanted to talk a little bit about my last visit there.

I was last on Batuu on a sunny yet slightly breezy day. It was Monday, March 2nd and I met my friend Marissa there in the late morning. Marissa is an extraordinary photographer and takes my favorite photos of Batuu so if you're missing it as much as I am, give her a follow! She kindly met up with me to do a shoot for the latest Style Wars segment featuring a t-shirt of the Armorer from The Mandalorian. We had a great time bouncing ideas off of each other and finding the best spots for this particular look. I was really getting used to shooting several of my Star Wars outfits on Batuu and I can't wait to be able to do that again. I find so much joy in styling outfits and documenting them on a Star Wars planet!

Afterwards, we each got a Tatooine Sunset ($5.49) from Ronto Roasters. Marissa explained to me that it was her favorite drink and she was so shocked that I hadn't tried it yet. It's made with Unsweetened Tea and Odwalla Lemonade with Melon and Blueberry. It was so flavorful and refreshing! I highly recommend trying it if you haven't. We talked about future shoots and a collaborative idea that we hope to execute once Disneyland can safely open again.

Once we parted ways, I walked around Batuu for a bit, checked the legacy lightsaber stock at Dok Ondar's Den of Antiquities (like I always do) and ended my time there by sitting at a table outside of Docking Bay 7. I took some photos (including the selfie above) and enjoyed the views. Before I got up to leave, I switched the shoes I was wearing for the shoot to a more comfortable pair and I somehow left them behind on the bench. I filled out a report online and a CM from Disneyland contacted me to let me know they found them. However, I didn't get to go pick them up before it closed so I guess you can say a part of me is still at Disneyland!
